    Default Reborn No Longer Works?

    Well after the reborn update messed up my server with false positives causing everyone to be kicked for trying to crash the server, I decided to reinstall the original RC1. Unfortunately, I've had nothing but problems since then, and it seems that the reborn mod updates itself no matter the time interval you put in. Will 0 in the update cvar completely disable the update system? If not, there should be a way to turn it off.

    Here's my log. Seems the reborn mod updates itself right away, and then the server crashes.

    Server either starts and crashes, or it starts, is good for a while, and then suddenly crashes and our log file became 40MB referencing faulty addresses.

    This "got signal 11" error is happening to many ppl using patch (mostly Linux users) as I've never had such error (using windows) and I think it has nothing to do with update ?

    No, there's definately a problem, and I think it's being caused by the update. The server runs fine until a new config file is execed calling another map. My console log became 500MB, and mainly consisted of:

    And as for my other post, it was because I was using the wrong fgameded.so, but now that it's all fixed, I'm having this problem!

    Also, this is why I'd suggest being able to turn off the auto update feature by setting the hours to 0, as more testing is needed.

    well isn't it the same error before and after replacing .so file ? not sure about how to turn off update but I'll have a look and let u know if I ever manged to figure it out.

    Did you try the fgameded which Joto posted and the newest binaries?

    Also...I set the updatedelay to 48 and I restart my server daily...so it won't update....setting it to 0 will force an update immediately I think....

    Yes 0 - do update check right away, you can set it for 9999 (more than one year)

    Anyway, your logs shows that this isn't newest version, so the problem isn't connected with newest version, but with something else. You have probably files messed up somehow.

    If you'd have newest version (from update system), you would get additional info in INIT, saying about UserInfo crash fix.

    I've verified that I'm using RC1 for linux the original then... and it never had problems like this. Are you sure it's not getting updated? I see a text file called update something in the mohaa folder under the update module.

    I don't want to update it, as it will start kicking people for trying to crash the servers when that's not true. What should I do?

    Get RC1 w/o update from Download Link, install it, change sv_updatedelay to 9999, you may need fixed fgameded.so that is attached to the thread with RC1. It should work, nothing has changed.

    We run 3 linux servers with patch. Never any probs.
    If we not have them it means is all ok with patch? I believe so.

    I am running RC1 w/o update. I downloaded it from the thread, placed everything in my folder the way it was packed, used Joto's Fgameded since our Linux needs that binary, and it was doing that. I've never seen that happen before either. I changed the sv_updatedelay to 47000.
