Thread: Video issues with Win10

    Default Video issues with Win10

Had to replace my old Win7 PC with a new one with Win10 back around the first of the year. Been trying on and off to get this sorted but no luck. As you can see in the video, I have a white bar repeatedly rising from about the middle of the screen to the top. Over and over again. I installed the "MoH Revival" and "mohaa_no_cd". Didn't have any problems on Win 7 but now with Win10........

    HELP!!!!! (please)

    what are your hardware specs?
are your video drivers up to date?

If you got your video driver installed with a windows update, that may be the problem. you have to do it manually to make sure is the correct version for your video card

    Win10, Core i5 4570 (3.2g quad core), 16g DDR3 Ram,

I don't have a separate video card. I checked the video driver, although I think I had done that before, and yes, it's up to date.

    No change in video issue.

    Go into device Manager
Right click your video adapter under "Display adapters" and click properties
    Click Details tab
Select the "Hardware Ids" property from the drop down
Right click in the box and choose select all and copy all the content and paste it into here.
    For example:

    Code:
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5916&SUBSYS_828C103C&REV_02
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5916&SUBSYS_828C103C
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5916&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_5916&CC_0300
If you can provide that info we can check to see if we can find a better driver for you.
Also (assuming your video card is Nvidia chipset on the motherboard), have you tried updating your motherboard chipset drivers?
Could you post the make & model of your motherboard as well?

    Hardware ID:

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0412&SUBSYS_18E7103C&REV_06
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0412&SUBSYS_18E7103C
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0412&CC_030000
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0412&CC_0300

I haven't found any evidence that it's Nvidia but rather HP.
Here are the specs that I could find.
Yes, I have checked for the most current video driver.

It's an intel chipset from that picture. Could you tell me the model number of your computer? Is it a custom build or a factory built computer?

This is where I got it and should (I guess) tell what it is in more detail than I know.

I am not sure if this will work but try these steps...
    1. Download this driver: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/294...40.45.5126.exe
    2. If you don't have 7-zip, I recommend you get it and install it: https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1900-x64.exe
    3. Go into System --> Advanced System Settings
    Click Hardware Tab
    Click Device Installation Settings
Select "No" to automatically download manufacturers' apps and icons for your device
    4. Go into device manager, under display adapters, right click your video card and uninstall the driver. If it asks you do you want to uninstall and delete the driver, select yes, or click the checkbox to delete the driver.
    5. After you do this you may need to reboot your machine, go ahead and reboot. (Reboot after the downloads finished downloading.)
    6. When you get back into Windows, use 7-zip to extract the intel driver you downloaded above (you can right click the exe file and choose extract to <name of file>)
    7. After the exe extracts, go back into device manager and you should see your video adapter, but it may have an exclamation (!) point or a generic video adapter name.
    8. Right click the adapter and choose to "Update Driver"
    9. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software" and point to the root of the extracted folder from step 6.
    10. Assuming the adapter is compatible with that driver, it should automatically pick up the driver and install it.

I'm not sure if you followed similar steps to this when you initially updated your drivers. I like doing it the manual way instead of installing the whole software because majority of the time drivers install a bunch of other unnecessary tools on your system. The manual method just installs what it needs.

I hope this help, but if it doesn't we'll try to find another driver just please post your computer model #.

    EDIT 2
If the above driver doesn't work just follow the steps above again to uninstall that driver, and then try one these drivers (try each one in the order I posted).
