That's what happens when you stop playing mohaa for a long period of time, lol

It's weird that the "r_ignorehwgamma" command didn't work.

You got this output in the log
    Code:
    skipping W2K gamma clamp.
    SetDeviceGammaRamp failed.
those lines are coming from this piece of code win_gamma.c
and as people from the quake 3 community metioned here and here, setting r_ignorehwgamma to 1, or setting the compatibility mode to Windows XP should fix the issue.

And found this post about brightness in mohaa in a random forum.

Also, I can send you a "100% clean" portable version of the game, if you want.
The Revival version is a little bit "dirty" to say the least.

Well I still don't have an explanation for this weir issue, but it seems like I swapped drivers to a MUCH older OEM nvidia driver from the Windows Update Catalog (without any Nvidia control panels), and it seems to at least read my gamma settings from my config file correctly, but I still can't modify it in the game. It's odd, but at last my screen isn't super dark anymore. It also helped me discover some new things about the MOH config files; which I wrote a tut and share on the forums for anyone interested.
