Thread: The Bocage

    Default The Bocage

If anyone has any spare time, have a go playing the first half of my SP map early to see if you can break it for me lol: http://www.mohaaaa.co.uk/forums/show...ocage-(Part-1)

(New download link, if the original isn't working: http://www.mediafire.com/file/1to8m5...ge_updated.zip)

    I've broken it already hehe.
I do suggest everyone to give this Single Player map a try!

Especially those who don't play MOHAA really anymore (looking at you James!).
    It's a really well-made, lag-free, realistic/authentic Single Player mission.
If you haven't played for a while, the last part might even be too difficult for you guys to beat

Seriously though, give it a try! I really had fun playing it
There's a secret room in the map as well, really cool, see if you can find it.

Haha, Maybe one of these days. I never really got into the single player stuff though. I really only played the game for the MP stuff. Haha. Got addicted to it very quickly, but might give it a shot some time.

Cool to test fresh new MoH stuff nowaday. Plus this is good work with the AI and underground atmosphere.
Just that blocked door with a wooden sound that won't open...

You have to find a way around that door

There is also an easter egg that lead you to a shotgun.

    Glad you guys like it!

I've since made changes thanks to the feedback (big thanks to Shadow):

    Various bug fixes
Clipped roofs of courtyard houses properly
Made subtle changes to some of the AI (e.g. aim) to increase difficulty before assault
Made actors more aggressive in various places
Reduced the damage of MG as well as adding more bullet spread
    Increased time between MG bursts
Changed aesthetics to secret area a bit (hope you like the changes)
Added binoculars you can pick up somewhere
Added grenades on starting - coded an obvious scenario for your grenade usage in the bunker
    Changed map name to test_bocage\
    Others I'm sure I can't think of

    Download updated version: http://www.mediafire.com/file/5p84n9...ocage+v1.1.zip
Make sure to remove the test_trenches sound dir and add the test_bocage one

Best gfx options for the level is obviously everything on max (volumetric smoke on) with shadows set to 'No shadows' (these are just the blobs under the actors).

Let me know of any issues you find. Again, this is just half of my 'Bocage' mission (split in two BSPs) which I released early so I could iron out problems, get an idea on difficulty and preferences, and gauge reactions. Thanks for all your help so far, guys!
