Entiendo
Are the textures the original AA ones?
I believe the idea behind it is to keep all the stock "data" (all the pk3 files in tact), and just be able to run the game normally through a different engine.
Super excited for this. Really hope yall succeed. I've been an Medal of Honor fan since I bought them on CD from bestbuy almost 20 years ago (2001). This is a game I keep going back to. Several times a year, I check in on out. Any servers to play on? Any mods? Anything new going on? So I'm so glad to see this.
Last year, someone had made "mohdm6" for PavlovVR on steam and they had did an amazing job. Talk about nostalgia. I was actually in the stalingrad map, in VR, with a pistol. It looked so good on UE4. The developer for Pavlov updated something (new UE maybe?) that made it where all the currently released maps wouldn't work and would have to be redone. The person who re-created the map never updated it, and stopped work on Destroyed Village, mentioning his life got busy. It was such a bummer.
All that just to say, I'm really excited about Medal of Honor Rises, and look forward to seeing what yall accomplish.
I love the site. I checked the blog and it had info on how to try out the latest bit of work. Did the -git and got the files from gitlab, recursively, Installed UE 4.24.3 (no option for 4.24) per the directions, but had to uninstall as I got a warning saying the UE was too old for the project. Installed UE 4.25.3, but it tells me I need the "GameImporter" plugin. I can't seem to find it. A google search showed me to some results on dev.moh-rises.com but the pages do not seem to exist anymore.
Is there anywhere else I may find the GameImporter plugin?
You should use 4.25 now with the last git update.
The dev.moh-rises.com is now https://gitlab.com/mohue/.
Im unsure about the gameimporter error, but you can try to follow Criminal his post:
Prerequisites:
* Unreal Engine client and engine itself installed, version 4.25
* Medal of Honor game with all expansions installed, GOG version(paid) or check MoH:AA Revival site for free version.
* vc_redist installed: https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Install:
- Download whole repository(https://gitlab.com/mohue/mohue) as zip and replace contents of zip into folder on desktop or any other desired location.
- Download binaries(https://gitlab.com/mohue/mohue-binaries) as zip and replace contents of zip into your_folder/binaries
- Download plugins(https://gitlab.com/mohue/mohue-plugins) as zip and replace contents of zip into your_folder/plugins
- Download assets(https://gitlab.com/mohue/mohue-assets) as zip and replace contents of zip into your_folder/assets
- Download maps(https://gitlab.com/mohue/mohue-maps) as zip and replace contents of zip into your_folder/assets/maps
Time to play vidya game!
Well, nah, but congratz that you managed to get here. Now launch unreal engine, on project choosing menu click browse and navigate to folder where you throwed all things from above, and click mohue.uproject, then confirm. After that project will ask to specify path to your original medal of honor game, do it. Now depending how crappy your PC is it may take seconds, hours, or it may kill your PC before it compiles all the stuff. When it's done you may play.
