    Cool -=[Escort-The-Vehicle]=- |*NEW Gametype*

    Hey my dear mohaa friends!!

    Finally i manage to put all things together and just released the first version of my new mod " -=[Escort-The-Tank]=- ".

    A new mod for MOHAA has born!

    Gametype Objective:.

    . A team must escort the tank to it's destination point and protect/repair it from being destroyed by opposite team rockets.

    . Opposite team must find rockets and destroy the tank or kill the players escorting it, preventing in this way, the players repair the tank or escorting it further.

    Server is online and available to everyone!! ... Thanks alot to AAAA for Sponsoring the server

    EDITED (26-09-2014) : 1 more map added "Remagen" .

    EDITED (05-10-2014) : 1 more map added "Sniper's Last Stand - City Hall" (m5l1b) .

    EDITED (31-10-2014) : A NEW map has been added : "The Nebelwerfer Hunt" (m3l3)

    EDITED (28-12-2014) : A NEW map has been added: " Sabotage the Motorpool" (m1l2b).

    EDITED (09-03-2015): NEW map has been added: "Algiers"

    At this moment there are 8 maps available on the mod : "Destroyed Village" , "Crossroads" , "Remagen" , "Algiers" , "Sniper's Last Stand - City Hall" (m5l1b), "The Nebelwerfer Hunt " (m3l3) , "The Communications Blackout (m6l2a) and " Sabotage the Motorpool" (m1l2b).

    There will be more maps added soon.


    All Serverside Mod.

    Join in and try it out. Have FUN!!

    Update* : New map "crossroads" has been added to the mod. Server is online and available to anyone!! Join it and try it out. Have FUN!!

    Hi PacRac sorry no one has posted regarding this but I only got chance today to have a play

    Just had a play on this and must say really like it !!! - was very surprised love it great job on this !!!

    What I like is the fact you can play it with great fun with just 2 players and it is different from other game types

    Couple of bugs I think but nothing major !!

    Noticed the spawn points can be interesting as some times you end up on the other side of the map to where you started with the tank but can see how that would work once you get so far with the Tank - and aslo kind of helps stop players camping if you see what I mean so its not a major problem for me

    I noticed once I had the Bazooka and shot rounds I could not reload going back to the same Bazooka also perhaps if possible would like to keep my Machine gun and not loose it. when I get Bazooka........

    Mmm perhaps have the Bazooka from start but have to get rounds from the cabinet ???

    Do Nades damage the Tank - didnt seem to ?

    Some suggestions may be so that players can add mines to road/tank to blow up the tank but opposite team can defuse them but its well balanced at present for both sides so thats important to keep the balance right........

    But yup love it I will be playing this !! So sorry you have not had feed back on this but brill keep up the great work!!! My Own clan are interested in this mod so please do release soon !!!

    All this guy done a great job on this do try out his Server - Its all server Side which is cool !!

    We all say no one doing anything new then someone puts all this effort in and no one feed's back come on all get playing

    i played it also with a bunch of memebrs great mod for a chnage , will play it soone otgether with pac when hes around and will bring a bunch of my members! ,

    Glad u enjoyed the gamemod.
    There are some issues and bugs that will only be detected after more players play it because is different when u play / test with 2 players and with crowded server.

    About the spawns i haven't tested all of them because major tests have been with 2 players and some spawns may fail to activate.
    Actually when the tank reaches checkpoint "Tank has breached the enemy lines", spawns advance to escort team and to opposite team they recede.

    Spawns cant be too close to tank otherwise it would be easier for escort team, actually u will find the spawns away when tank is almost reaching the checkpoint that is the harder part for escort team, the escorting team needs to take different path to get enemy by surprise and reach the tank. After tank reaches the chekpoint, the same happens to defense team, they will spawn way back and need to get closer to tank to destroy it as the tank gets further spawns also get closer.

    But i wil check better the spawns i bet those are not entirely suitable to a crowded server.

    I noticed once I had the Bazooka and shot rounds I could not reload going back to the same Bazooka also perhaps if possible would like to keep my Machine gun and not loose it. when I get Bazooka........
    The idea is if u choose to pick up rocket u need to lose your main weapon and u have 2 rounds of rockets after u be empty, u need to open the rockets cabinet again and pick up new rocket with more 2 rounds.

    About the previous weapon u had, if u want to recover it, u need to use the rockets as quick as possible and go back to place where u drop the weapon and drop rocket and grab mg/rifle/shotgun again that was left on the floor, before it desapears.

    Has it is an auto drop thing when u open the cabinet, u can simplify it by dropping the weapon first on a place u want and grab rocket shoot the rounds and go back and grab weapon on floor again. Also u can grab any teammate's weapon that is on the floor when they die.

    That is also a good idea to get rocket together with other weapons when it is a 1v1 or 2v2 battle. With more players i think defense team would become too strong with everyone with mg's and rockets.

    But all ideas are welcome. This is a beta version and therefore all changes will meet the requirements of all MOHAA players .

    Note: There are always 2 or more rocket cabinets on every maps.

    It is purposeful, otherwise escort team wouldn't have a chance against rockets and nades destroying tank. I even reduce to 2 nades per player.

    That is an good idea and possible to add, using elgan's mines mod with it, that could be and option that any server admin can had it with this mod. Mod is compatible with Admin Pro.
    So think it is possible, but need to test it. Anyway I think it will be necessary two mines to explode it.

    Heatsinkbod I really appreciate you took your time to test it and that u enjoyed the gametype.

    Actually my intention is to give a new gameplay to this wonderful community, something fresh to revive MOHAA.


    Hope to see u all mohaa friends playing it. Bet it will be alot of fun moments playing this new gametype.

    Sorry Appelpitje. But i noticed pc was shutdown, think power failure.

    Because this is a beta version i'm using my own connection/pc to host the server.

    But server is up again and do jump there and have fun testing it. TESTERS are all welcome

    Pac has had feedback from us from the start (on server/TS/Mru etc), he still owes me a tube of glue :P ... Ive been too busy modding myself lately so missed this post ... so heres my input

    This really is a great mod, well thought out and executed and i wouldnt change any of the weaps - theyre best as is, the cabinets are a great idea too, the onscreen info isnt too large or over the top either, very nice work, Pacs going to run it in the Airborne mod at some point.

    BobUK has made a nice entry point for it in DV (Early Beta Pic... teaser) ....

I love vehicle mods and its great to see something new being created with them

    I do owe u a tube of glue. I used it all to glue the tank to the trigger HAHHAHAHA (*Modders joke*). How a simple and yet SO IMPORTANT thing was blocking my progress on the mod. I did spent hours and hours trying to figure it out what was wrong lol, because all script logic seemed right, and with your knowledge and wisdmon i just said "You might need to glue it back again" and you were absolutely right. thanks alot for the tip Cobs!

    About the DV airborne i just need to rescript it and i will send it too u soon. Congrats for all the fantastic work U and Bobuk, Leyok, Gold and rest of {SFX} have been doing latelly. Your the BEST ;D .

    I'll talk to u later about your offer. Thanks alot. And yes u guys {SFX}, were the first to test the mod and i'm very thankfull for all the testing help.
