Thread: Old(er) Mohaa anti-cheat fix?

    Default Old(er) Mohaa anti-cheat fix?

    Hello all,

I really hope someone can help me with this.
A (long) while ago I came across a server that had some sort of anti-cheat protection.
It appearantly worked by scanning the client's mohaa/main directory for any known cheats and
when it found one (like wambot in the olden days) the players view was blocked. All the player could see
was something like a wooden board or painting up-close.

There was also a message displayed, something like "We detected cheats in your mohaa directory. If you take them out
and return you will be able to see everything again".

It worked like a charm back in the day so am thinking about using it in conjunction with the 1.12 patch. Anything to make them
cheater's life as miserable as possible

Problem is, I know next to none about that anti-cheat program so am hoping this description will ring a bell.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Midnight

Actually, it didn't scan the main directory. It didn't touch the directory.
The way it worked was it looked for common cham skin names, and if a client had it, it would force your huddraw to something bogus.

It was effective yes, but there are several EASY ways of bypassing it. Can it be used in conjunction with the 1.12 patch? The answer is yes, however don't expect it to be anywhere as effective as the patch because it really is easily bypassable. For the sake of the forums, I won't go into detail about how it works, just take my word for it

Yeah the OBJ version works on restart/respawn, the TDM version works every.. 20 seconds or so.
I think this version will do the trick: http://www.x-null.net/forums/attachm...3&d=1367069330

I don't want to spam the shoutbox, so I'll explain this here for you.

Please understand how this AC works.
For this to work, the wallhacker needs to be using a cham that uses a custom texture. The reason this doesn't work on ghostchams is because ghostchams don't modify textures. It modifies 2 values in the shader:
blendfunc add <--- This is what give the player a semi transparent look
nodepthtest <-- this is what renders the players through walls

The ONLY fix for this cheat is to use the antiwh feature that the reborn patch uses. Unfortunately there is nothing else you can do aside from kicking or banning the cheater.
